Travel is required when necessary to Gaithersburg, MD (usually once per quarter for inventory).

As an Asset Management Coordinator for the Information Technology department, you will:

  • Conduct regular audits and maintain an accurate inventory of all assets owned by the organization, including physical assets (e.g., equipment, vehicles, machinery) and intangible assets (e.g., software licenses, intellectual property).
  • Implement and manage systems for tracking assets throughout their lifecycle, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and retirement/disposal. This may involve using asset management software, barcode scanning systems, or other tracking mechanisms.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair activities for assets, including scheduling inspections, arranging for repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintenance schedules, working closely with maintenance technicians or external vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective asset maintenance.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation related to asset management activities, such as asset registers, maintenance logs, repair records, and warranties.
  • Generate reports and providing insights to management regarding asset performance, utilization, and potential areas for improvement.
  • Develop strategies and coordinate the disposal or sale of outdated, obsolete, or surplus assets. Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to identify opportunities for asset replacement or upgrades based on technological advancements or changing business needs.
  • Audits: Assists with all audits including CMMC and NIST.

What you’ll bring:

  • 2+ years’ demonstrated experience in computer operations related to desktop devices and software
  • Experience with ServiceNow highly preferred
  • Ability to accurately diagnose and correct hardware malfunctions and assemble equipment peripherals.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
