The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor plays a key leadership role within the Pediatric pharmacy team, responsible for overseeing daily operations, staff supervision, and compliance in assigned areas. This position provides specialized support in areas designated by departmental leadership.
This supervisor will coordinate and facilitate the onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training of new pharmacy technicians, ensuring consistency and high standards across practice areas. They will provide direct oversight for the Pediatric Pharmacy technician team, supporting their development, mentoring, and day-to-day workflow.
Key responsibilities include managing scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll processes, supporting technician performance evaluations, and ensuring adherence to all sterile compounding best practices and regulatory standards. The supervisor will collaborate closely with pharmacists, peers, and operational leadership to maintain safe, efficient, and compliant medication preparation and distribution processes across designated areas. This role requires a proactive leader with excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Full Time (40 hours)
Hours: 11:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m
Monday through Friday, including every third weekend
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program or equivalent is required.
- CPhT certification and Maryland Board of Pharmacy registration. Certification in aseptic sterile compounding (USP <800>) and hazardous drug handling required within 90 days of hire.
- 5 years relevant pharmacy technician experience or an associate degree with 1 year of relevant supervisory experience and 1 year of relevant pharmacy technician experience are required. Each 30 college credits can be substituted for one year of pharmacy technician experience. 1 year of relevant supervisory experience can be substituted for 3 years of pharmacy technician experience.

Salary Range: Minimum $27.05/hour - Maximum $47.35/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
