The Food Service Worker II provides the highest quality of service to customers at all times. Works at various stations in the Cafe, as assigned. Sets up stations and performs cleaning work in the Cafe as assigned. Performs cold food preparation for the Cafe. Maintains high level of sanitation in work area. In addition, effectively performs duties of grill cook, catering assistant, or food service cashier when needed. May perform work in other areas of the department as needed.

High school graduate or equivalent.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sets up and serves at various stations in the Cafe. Follows HACCP food safety guidelines and portion control guidelines at all times. Thoroughly cleans area after and during service.
- Takes responsibility to resolve customer complaints whenever possible. Refers complaints and suggestions to Team Leaders and Managers when necessary.
- Performs cold food preparation for the Cafe, such as set up and preparation of all salad bar items, slicing vegetables for toppings, preparation of food for vending machines, and portioning of desserts, in a timely and sanitary manner.
- Consistently records refrigeration, freezer, and food temperatures according to schedules. Promptly reports any inappropriate temperatures to a T earn Leader or Manager for corrective actions.
- Follows special cleaning schedules to clean and reassemble all assigned equipment.
- Maintains work area in a neat and sanitary manner.
- Cross trained in duties of and regularly provides relief for food service cashier, catering assistant, and grill cook.
- Adheres to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned by team leaders, managers, or director.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Must be able to meet tight deadlines.
- Must be pleasant and courteous in all interactions.
- Excellent personal hygiene and customer service skills.
MINIMAL EXPERIENCE:
- Must be able to read and understand written menus.
- Must be able to communicate verbally in English with customers.
- Two years or more of food service experience in a retail setting

Salary Range: Minimum 18.57/hour - Maximum 30.64/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
