About this position:
The Johns Hopkins Health System’s Office of Nursing Professional Practice is looking for a Core Nursing Nurse Educator to join their team! You will work with educational content that crosses both Johns Hopkins Hospital and Bayview Medical Center. This position is based out of both campuses and will have travel to a local site (Keswick) for classes and is responsible for policy, practice, onboarding and education. You will play a vital role in leading change in pursuit of improved nursing practice and professional development. The ideal candidate will have acute care experience in an academic medical hospital and experience in the field of nursing education.
Shift: Full-time, 40-hours week day shift
Education:
Master’s degree from an accredited school of nursing, required. Individual(s) who have matriculated in an appropriate master’s program may be considered. Coursework in curriculum development, evaluation, or adult education, preferred.
Required Licensure Certification, etc.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse at time of hire
• Certification in area of specialty preferred.
Work Experience:
• Recent inpatient hospital acute care nurse educator experience w/5 years of bedside clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Highly developed ability to conduct environmental and nursing practice assessments to plan, implement, and evaluate nursing education/curriculum plans.
• Expert-level skills to champion scientific inquiry and advocate for clinical specialty education and professional development needs.
Salary Range: Minimum 46.57/hour - Maximum 72.18/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
