Position Summary:
- The Cook prepares food which is nutritious and appetizing in accordance with requirements of the Food Production Manager.
- Responsible for preparing meals for patients on both regular and modified diets. Also, food items for the cafeteria.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate records of all foods prepared and returned.
- Ensuring MD Dept of Health standards are followed, along with strict safety standards under Johns Hopkins expectations
Experience:
- HS diploma, or equivalent, required
- Culinary training (graduate of a culinary or technical school) preferred
- 1 year related experience required
- Experience cooking in a hospital or healthcare setting is highly preferred
- Or, experience cooking in an institutional setting
Hours/Other Information:
- Full-time (40 hrs per week)
- Rotating Shift
- Weekend & holiday work required

Salary Range: Minimum 25.75/hour - Maximum 25.75/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
