The Johns Hopkins Hospital Inpatient Oncology Service is part of our NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. This Adavanced Practice Team cares for acutely ill patients with cancer including those undergoing blood & marrow transplantation, surgery, chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Our patients have access to some of the most innovative and advanced therapies in the world. The Kimmel Cancer Center research scientists and clinicians closely work together, new drugs and treatments developed in the research laboratory are quickly transferred to the clinical setting, offering patients improved therapeutic options and the chance to participate in innovative clinical trials.

Full-time: 12-hour night shifts (permanent night incentive pay); 1 weekend per month)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: MSN/DNP from an accredited nursing program required.
  • Licensure: Active Maryland RN license and Acute Care NP certification are required
  • Experience: 3 years of related nursing experience; Oncology preferred: No NP work experience required
  • New Graduate NP encouraged to apply! New Graduates must supply a letter from MBON approving practice as a Nurse Practitioner Graduate while awaiting completing of JHH affiliate credentialing as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Active Maryland CDS and DEA licensure
  • Provider Enrollment, Chain and Ownership Systems (PECOS) enrollment required
  • BLS Health Care Provider CPR certification required: AHA or Red Cross accepted

The JHH Nurse Practitioner practices within the guidelines of the unit department and institution and in accordance with the Nurse Practitioner - Physician Written Agreement required and approved by the State of Maryland. You will function in a Nurse Practitioner Associate role until credentialed by The Johns Hopkins Hospital medical board and staff privileges are granted.
