The ADA/Accessibility Program Manager (“Program Manager”) serves as a member of a dynamic team that provides administrative, educational, and intellectual
leadership to support the Health System’s equal opportunity and accessibility compliance program. The Program Manager is responsible for consulting with and
providing advice concerning the provision of a reasonable accommodations to employees, patients and visitors with a disability; tracking compliance with the
Americans With Disability Act (ADA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and other laws and regulations relating to individuals with disabilities; and providing
consultative services to Health System management, Human Resources, Patient Relations and other appropriate departments. The Program Manager is also
responsible for serving as the 504 Coordinator for the Health System, assisting appropriate offices with determining facility accessibility at all Health System entities
by conducting facility audits, assisting in drafting, developing and delivering appropriate training, policies and processes to insure compliance with the
Rehabilitation and the Affordable Care Acts and other applicable laws and regulations.
Master's degree in disability/accessibility related field, or law degree required.
At least seven (7) years' work experience in the area of disability and accessibility services and ADA/504 compliance.
Work with employees, patients and visitors with disabilities preferred.
In-depth knowledge of key legislation (Rehab Act, ADA, state regulations) related to disability and of the functional impact of various disabling conditions.
Excellent counseling, negotiating, problem solving, and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
