Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the program manager, provides individual therapy and case management and/or group education and therapy for patients with alcohol and other drug dependency problems and their families.


Knowledge of individual group and/or family therapeutic techniques as would normally be acquired in a substance abuse treatment setting or related mental health setting


Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health or related discipline.

Work Experience:

Two years in a substance abuse or related mental health setting. (Experience does not have to be post masters.)


Day Shift, Full Time (40 hours)

8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Working one Saturday morning approximately once every eight weeks.

Exempt, Paygrade: CJ

Work Location:

911 N. Broadway


Interpersonal skills necessary for relating to patients, doctors, staff, outside organizations and other health care facilities. Requires excellent written communication and documentation skills.

Required Licensure, Certification:

Must be Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Social Worker.

Working Conditions:

Requires ability to stand, sit, read and write for extended periods of time.

Possible exposure to communicable deceases and hazardous biomedical material with little likelihood of harm if established health precautions are followed.

Exposure to patients with the potential for verbal or physical aggression with little likelihood of harm if established clinical precautions are followed.
