Shift:

Full Time (40 hours)

Day Shift, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Exempt, Pay Grade: CJ

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the program manager, provides individual therapy and case management and/or group education and therapy for patients with alcohol and other drug dependency problems and their families.

Education:

Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health or related discipline OR for the Addiction counselor role Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health or related discipline.

Work Experience:

Two years in a substance abuse or related mental health setting. (Experience does not have to be post masters.)

Licensure/Certification:

Must be Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Social Worker must be Licensed Professional or Licensed Social Worker OR for the Addiction counselor CAC-AD, CSC-AD or Addiction Counselor Trainee.

Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of individual group and/or family therapeutic techniques as would normally be acquired in a substance abuse treatment setting or related mental health setting.

Interpersonal skills necessary for relating to patients, doctors, staff, outside organizations and other health care facilities. Requires excellent written communication and documentation skills.
