The Manager for Ambulatory Operations is responsible for the day to day clinical and financial operations for the Musculoskeletal (MSK) Center (inclusive of Orthopedics, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) located in Columbia Maryland. Under the direction of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Assistant Administrator for Clinical Operations and the Medical Director of the Clinic, the Manager proactively assesses and implements appropriate processes to ensure that all facets of ambulatory practice management are adequately and effectively addressed. This includes: patient access, complete and accurate registration, revenue cycle management, payor contracting compliance, insurance referral and preauthorization requirements, health information management, patient flow, environmental safety, regulatory compliance, patient safety, quality initiatives, and patient experience. The Manager works collaboratively with physicians, psychologists, therapists, advanced practice practitioners, and staff to ensure timely patient access to care, operational efficiency, practice optimization, and fiscal integrity. Additionally, this position will work with departmental supervisors and Human Resources to recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate administrative and clinical support staff. The Manager for Ambulatory Operations will work closely with Assistant Administrators from Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Orthopedics, Anesthesiology and Radiology to support the implementation or enhancement of clinical programs and services that support strategic priorities. This position may require extended evening hours and weekend hours to support strategic priorities.
