Position Summary:

This position will be responsible for planning, organizing and directing the formulation, presentation and administration of the JHH and BMC annual capital budgets. Upon implementation of the annual capital budgets the position will provide management oversight related to the capital budgets to insure the allocation of funds is in compliance with the stated capital policies and procedures. Position requires a thorough knowledge of budget development, monitoring, project management and project cost accounting. This work is performed under the general supervision of the Director of Capital Project Accounting.

Knowledge:

Thorough knowledge of budget development, monitoring, project management and project cost accounting.

Extensive knowledge of practice and principles of budget development, monitoring and reporting to successfully deliver the annual capital budgets.

Extensive knowledge of the principles of budgeting as related to the capital process in order to deliver projects budget with the given allocation.

Extensive knowledge of the use and application of technology to facilitate the delivery of the annual capital budget.

Thorough knowledge of strategic and long range planning in order to support the department in setting forth the goals, benchmarks and performance criteria necessary to insure the successful delivery of the annual capital budgets.

Education:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration preferred.

Work Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree 1 year related experience

AA Degree 5 years related experience

HS/GED 9 years related experience

Shift:

Day, Full Time (40 hours)

8:30 am-5:00 pm

Skills:

Monitor and analyze capital expenditure trends and patterns in order to assist organization in achieving annual goals and objectives.

Requires an advanced and proficient level of analytic ability necessary to analyze data, classify and compile reports.

Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) as related to capital projects.

Extensive knowledge of information technology (PC- and network-based), including SAP, Word, Excel, and Power Point.

Proficient written and verbal English communication skills, on a college graduate level

Interacts professionally with departmental/JHM staff.

Requires an excellent work ethic.

Requires an excellent sense of customer service

Required Licensure, Certification:

Driver’s License
