Position Summary:

Under supervision, assists cook in preparing, seasoning, and cooking food for Hospital patients, employees, and visitors; and/or participates in the preparation of baked goods, such as breads, rolls, cakes and other dessert and nourishment items. Also responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing and preparation of meat, fish and poultry items.

Education:

Work requires a level of math and English normally acquired through the completion of an eighth grade education.

Work Experience:

Requires a minimum of one year of prior cooking experience in any large food service operation

Shift:

Day shift, Full time (40 hours)

Non-Exempt, Pay Grade: UC

Required Licensure, Certification:

Serve safe sanitation certification preferred from an approved culinary program.
