Assistant Director, Compounding Quality and Compliance – The Johns Hopkins Hospital

Reporting to the Director, Informatics and Medication Use Systems is responsible for developing policies and procedures, ensuring personnel training and competency, achieving environmental control of facilities used for storing and compounding medications; and creating, implementing and managing a comprehensive quality assurance program that ensures high quality and meets all regulatory requirements for the compounding of sterile and nonsterile preparations and the safe handling of hazardous medications.

Required qualifications for this position include the completion of a PharmD degree, or equivalent (B.S. plus 1-3 years of experience), and completion of an ASHP accredited residency program or equivalent experience. Advanced training to obtain skills consistent with an MS, MBA, or MPH is also required. A minimum of two to three years of hospital pharmacy practice ans previous program/project management experience. Current licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Maryland required.
