Work at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in the Level II Trauma Center ED where the Region's only Burn Center is located.

3-5 years of acute care ED RN experience required. Charge Nurse Experience and previous management or leadership responsibilities required. 4 10 hour Day/Evening shifts with weekend coverage shared with ED leadership team.

The assistant Patient Care Manager of the ED will be responsible for assisting the Patient Care Manager (PCM) with directing the provision of nursing care on an assigned patient care unit. Manages professional and non-professional staff which includes interviewing, hiring, mentoring new and lesser experienced employees, coaching/discipline, completing performance appraisals, ensuring that employees are properly educated/trained, tracks licensure/certifications, employee engagement, etc. Also responsible for monitoring patient safety (HERO), hourly rounding, assisting PCM with professional presentations, program development, performance improvement initiatives and departmental based and organizational wide projects.Work at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in the Level II Trauma Center ED where the Region's only Burn Center is located.

Qualifications:

  • Current Maryland or Compact RN license
  • CPR certification - AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted
  • BSN required
