GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Nurse Practitioner assigned to 7 West/Outpatient Behavioral Health works within a multidisciplinary team. The Nurse Practitioner provides medical care to patients admitted to inpatient psychiatry, inpatient and outpatient ECT, and outpatient TMS. The Nurse Practitioner educates patients and intervenes to provide comprehensive and age appropriate care.


MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  1. Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  2. Current DC licensure as an RN
  3. Minimum of 2 years RN experience
  4. Hospital experience as a nurse practitioner strongly recommended.
  5. Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program.
  6. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by ANCC
  7. License to practice in District of Columbia
  8. Federal DEA License
  9. DC Controlled Substance License
  10. Receive and maintain full active privileges through the Sibley Medical Staff for Psychiatry, Inpatient Hospital, and Sibley Renaissances Skilled Nursing Facility.
  11. ACLS certification required.
