Johns Hopkins Community Physicians is seeking a qualified Spanish speaking bilingual interpreter for the Medical Office Assistant position at our East Baltimore Medical Center Primary Care IM practice. The Bilingual Medical Office Assistant in the managed care practice provides for the smooth flow of patients through the practice, for the proper disposition of telephone calls that are received by and originate from the practice and for the coordination of patient appointments and correspondence. Offers friendly, courteous assistance to every customer to ensure that they have a positive, professional experience while at JHCP.

Location: 1000 E. Eager St.; Baltimore, MD 21202

Shift: Non-Exempt - Full-time Dayshift


  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Two years’ work experienced preferred.

  • Candidates must successfully pass the required JHM approved designated language assessment prior to job offer. New employees must complete all required training within 30 days of hire The position has regular interaction with LEP patients/families/clients and the employee is reasonably available to communicate in the non-English language.
  • Must successfully pass all required training to obtain security access to perform role. Includes, but not limited to: Electronic medical record training, Insurance training-foundations, government and commercial.
