Associate's degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronic Engineering Technology or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Knowledge of electronics, safety rules, procedures and practices, including the proper use of test and safety equipment as defined by industry standards. Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, inspect and perform operational verification testing of biomedical and electromechanical equipment.
Self-starter with a detail oriented and customer service mindset that performs tasks and assigned duties within a reasonable length of time as measured against trade, industry or engineered standards.
Working knowledge of PC hardware, basic networking, Microsoft desktop products and applications to include hospital email and specialized database used by clinical engineering department to manage inventory and track equipment related activities.
Safety minded requiring attention to detail by avoiding hazards as indicated by warning labels, signage, lights and other warning devices.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Working knowledge of electronic circuitry, schematics, use of service manuals, commonly used test equipment and tools required to repair medical equipment.
