This Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting process improvements in scheduling operations across Access Services, by performing focused analytics (e.g. staffing levels) of reports and providing feedback and problem solving assistance for report findings. This position will report directly to the Assistant Director and work very closely Executive management to ensure efficient and coordinated functioning of this role. Requires keen analytical thinking and excellent communication and change management skills. Must understand and use an analytic driven process to develop recommendations that are both meaningful and actionable.

Pulls and analyzes reports r/t staff productivity, space utilization, physician cancellation rates, show rates, cost per unit comparisons, patient satisfaction, employee satisfaction, etc. Analyzes ambulatory practices and makes recommendations for improvements. Analyzes call center metrics and provides recommendations on process improvement initiatives that are coordinated with the medical offices, including assisting with analysis for Access Services Project Managers. Participates in the development of a more centralized approach for reporting and template analysis by problem solving report issues driven by template build and making recommendations.

Education: A minimum of a Bachelor degree required. Master's degree is preferred specifically in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or Project Management.

Knowledge: Work requires strong familiarity with healthcare care business processes and terminology. Requires knowledge and understanding of the interrelationship of business process and information system applications.

Skills:

 Requires excellent analytical thinking and applies a logical, systematic approach to problem solving

 Excellent communication skills to be able to break down complex analysis and present (oral/written) in a concise and meaningful way

 Strong interpersonal skills and establish trusting working relations with Department and other Access stakeholders

 Must understand and use an analytic driven process to develop recommendations that are both meaningful and actionable.

 Understand and is knowledgeable of data warehousing concepts

 Strong technical abilities, including Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Access, Vision and is also familiar with CaseMix and other data sources for collecting and gathering of relevant data

 Good change management skills

 Knowledgeable of practice management and clinic operations

 Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously and quickly switch between priorities/tasks. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter and able to work independently with staff at various levels.

 Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment

Work Experience: A minimum of 3 years relevant work experience.
