Position Summary:

Performs maintenance, repair, fabrication, installation and modification work on buildings/components, offices, corridors, etc. This work is performed under general supervision using the tools and techniques of carpentry technology.

Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of carpentry techniques, procedures, tools and materials.

Knowledge of the techniques, procedures, tools and materials to perform metal framing, drywall/flooring/ceiling applications, and lamination.

Knowledge of building elements and codes.

Knowledge of safety rules, procedures and practices, including the proper use of safety equipment as defined by OSHA and industry standards.

Applies carpentry and safety knowledge indicated herein.

Safely uses tools and equipment indicated herein.

Ability to solve problems and manage information indicated herein.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Experience:

Requires 5 years related work experience, including 2 years experience in metal framing, drywalls and all types of floorings and ceiling applications.

The full-time equivalent spent in a state-approved program may count toward the 5-year work

Shift:

Day shift, Full Time (40 hours)

7:00 am – 3:30 pm
