With minimal supervision reports to the Maternal Fetal Medicine Division Director or Director of Obstetrical Ultrasound and is responsible for organizing and directing all operations and technical staff activities of the Obstetrical Ultrasound Unit. Responsibilities include financial planning and budgeting, policy/procedure development, and quality control/performance improvement. Facilitates education/training of members of health care team and students. Participates in data collection and research design development.

B.S. in Diagnostic Ultrasound preferred or a graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Program (CAAHEP) – accredited Diagnostic ultrasound program, along with five years of experience as a Cardiac. Sonographer. Additional clinical experience or credentials may be considered in lieu education. Minimum of five years-experience in diagnostic ultrasound with two years in the specialty; including increasing accountability for program operations, assurance of clinical standards of care and fiscal management.

Day Shift – 8am to 5pm

40 –Hours per week

Registration by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in OB/GYN. Certified in 1st trimester screening with Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF) & the Society of Maternal/Fetal Medicine (SMFM)

<span style="font-family: "Calibri Light",sans-serif; mso-ascii-theme-font: major-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: major-latin;">Requires standing and/or walking for extended periods of time. <span style="font-family: "Calibri Light",sans-serif; mso-ascii-theme-font: major-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: major-latin;">Requires manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform patient care procedures. <span style="font-family: "Calibri Light",sans-serif; mso-ascii-theme-font: major-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: major-latin;">Possible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials and pharmacological agents. <span style="font-family: "Calibri Light",sans-serif; mso-ascii-theme-font: major-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: major-latin;">Requires lifting and/or positioning patients and transporting wheelchairs, stretchers, and related equipment. <span style="font-family: "Calibri Light",sans-serif; mso-ascii-theme-font: major-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: major-latin;">May require contact with patients/family members in emotionally stressful situations.
