Under the general supervision processes employee workers compensation claims and benefits, including preparation of legal forms for the workers compensation commission. Computes workers compensation benefits as well as approving payments for medical bills and issuance of check for claims.
Must have substantial communication skills both oral and written to ensure effective relationships with medical and administrative personnel within the institution and externally with attorneys and claimants.
Comprehensive level of knowledge of workers compensation law, insurance claims procedures and claims investigation as acquired in three years of workers compensation experience.
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of three years workers' compensation experience
Knowledge of workers compensation laws.
Ability to communicate effectively with visitors, patients and hospital employees.
