The Dietitian practices as an expert in the application of the nutrition process and theory within a specialty area. The primary responsibility of the Dietitian is to advance patient care directly in the role of expert clinical practitioner and indirectly in the roles of educator, consultant, and researcher. Willing to hire at different levels from Clinical Dietitian to Clinical Dietitian Specialist II

Work Location: Washington, DC

Part time - as needed

As early as 7:00am - As late as 6pm, must be able to work one weekend per month

Minimum Requirements:

1.Requires a Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university.
2.Must be credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
3. Must obtain licensed as a Dietitian-Nutritionist in the District of Columbia.
4.Work requires knowledge of food science, biochemistry, physiology, management science, behavioral science and social science as applied to human nutrition, and basic knowledge of clinical research tools.
5. Will Consider multiple level of Experience.
6. Clinical Dietitian Specialist I - Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Registered Dietitian, including at least one year in specialty area
6. Clinical Dietitian Specialist II - Active specialty certification or Master's Degree in a related field, 4 years experience as Registered Dietitian, including at least one year
in specialty area
