Johns Hopkins Community Physicians is looking for a Clinical Dietitian Specialist at our East Baltimore Medical Center practice. The Clinical Dietitian Specialist practices as an expert in the application of the nutrition process and theory within a specialty area. The primary responsibility of the Clinical Dietitian Specialist is to advance patient care directly in the role of expert clinical practitioner and indirectly in the roles of educator, consultant, and researcher. The Clinical Dietitian establishes nutritional status of patients based on historical, clinical and laboratory data. Identifies appropriate nutrition diagnosis. Recommends, implements, and monitors interventions to address nutrition problem. Meets the timing standards for nutrition assessment and reassessment >90% threshold.
Location: 1000 E. Eager St., Baltimore, MD 21202
Shift: Exempt - Full-time - 40 hours per week - 8:00 - 5:00 p.m.
- Requires a Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university.
Requires registry with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Must be a Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist in the State of Maryland.
Knowledge of food science, biochemistry, physiology, management science, behavioral science and social science as applied to human nutrition. Basic knowledge of clinical research tools.
Requires two or more years’ clinical experience as a Registered Dietitian, including at least one year in a specialty area.
