Practicing as an expert in the application of the nutrition process and theory within our level III NICU. Advancing patient care directly in the role of expert clinical practitioner and indirectly in the roles of educator, consultant, and researcher. Working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary disciplinary NICU team to promote the growth and development of our smallest patients. Calculating I/Os and making nutrition support recommendations. Instructing patients and their families on nutrition. Charting and documenting patients' progress and performing other professional duties. Practicing responsible cost-effective use of resources.
