The Clinical Education Nurse is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs including quality improvement and safety initiatives as set by the Armstrong Institute for Quality and Patient Safety. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Nursing Practice and Clinical Education. Develops, leads and facilitates educational initiatives as assigned. Examples include new hire orientation as well as ongoing assessment of the broad range of team and operations functions within the clinical practice settings based on specialty.

  • Full Time (40 hours) - Occasional weekend work
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Licensed as a Registerd Nurse in the State of Maryland with eligibility to obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia. Certification as an AHA CPR Instructor is required within six months of hire.
  • Three years of clinical nursing experience required. A broad background of clinical experience including ambulatory care preferred. Electronic Medical Record experience preferred. Prior experience in the areas of teaching, training, and competency assessment.
