Job duties:

The Clinical Nutrition Manager plans, schedules, coordinates, and supervises the operations of the clinical nutrition staff and formula room staff, as applicable. Primary responsibilities include assigning work to and supervising clinical dietitians; developing standards and monitoring of clinical dietetic performance; reviewing and updating policies and procedures; developing and monitoring performance improvement plans; implementing and maintaining cost control procedures; recruiting, hiring, and orienting staff; interacting with hospital management and professional staff; and maintaining professional competency and skills required for professional practice.

Job Status:

Full Time, Day Shift, 40 hours per week, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., weekend work not required

Job Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience as an Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist including primary responsibility for a nutrition specialty area, managing a clinical education program, or a demonstrated leadership role
  • Master’s degree in related field required

License/Certification:

  • Licensure (or eligibility to apply for licensure) as a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist by the Maryland State Board of Dietetic Practice is required. Specialized certification such as Certified Diabetes Educator, Certified Nutrition Support Clinician, or other nutrition specialty certification is preferred
