This position is located at Weinberg

Under supervision of the Pharmacy Business Manager, Clinical Pharmacy Manager and the Weinberg Inpatient Pharmacy Operations Manager, the Multiple Myeloma Clinical Pharmacy Technician (MMCPT) primary role involves working alongside the MM Clinical Specialist and Pharmacists to complete prescription processing tasks specific to the MM population. The MMCPT will work closely with the Prior Authorization team, Patient Assistance Program Specialists, and all Inpatient/Outpatient Pharmacy staff, prescribers, and medical office staff in order to serve the patients. The MMCPT will communicate with patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, insurance payers, drug manufacturers, and colleagues to relay and obtain pertinent information. The MMCPT may provide on-call services for patients as required, participates in process improvement, and develops relationships with patients.

- Registration with the MD Board of Pharmacy is required upon hire

- Certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board is required (PTCB)

- One (1) year retail pharmacy experience is required: two (2) years preferred
