The Clinical Quality Indicator Reviewer is responsible for the review and documentation of clinical quality data and related information as required by the hospital's Performance Improvement Plan. The review includes but is not limited to concurrent and retrospective Core measure indicators. This position provides feedback, support, and education to both providers and clinical unit staff with the primary goal of achieving accountability and compliance with all evidence -based clinical quality measures. Works in conjunction with the Clinical Quality Review Managers, Patient Safety Manager, Risk Manager, and Infection Control Manager, to identify Performance Improvement (PI) opportunities and needs. Responsible for effectively facilitating performance improvement teams. Participates in Joint Commission and other regulatory compliance related activities, and/or other organization wide projects. The position requires collaboration with appropriate staff, disciplines, and departments in developing and overseeing the implementation of plans of corrective action. Serves as a technical expert to others for understanding of clinical quality data related to the indicators they are monitoring. Innovation is required to improve work procedures and methods which result in consistent application of practices related to compliance with the clinical quality data. The duties of this position affect direct patient care through the provision of services, which enable others to provide direct care. Communication is required internally and externally to persuade or gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas and processes.

Work Location: Howard County General Hospital
Graduate of an accredited program of nursing or Physician Assistant program. Bachelor's degree required and Master's preferred.
Current knowledge of chart review, Core measures, and clinical standards of practice required. Demonstrated experience in performance improvement and data management preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience.
Must maintain current licensure in Maryland as a Registered Nurse
