Clinical Pharmacy Specialist – Oncology Informatics
The Johns Hopkins Hospital
The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist – Oncology Informatics will be responsible for supporting Epic Beacon needs for the Cancer Service Line. This role will work collaboratively with the current Clinical Pharmacy Specialist – Oncology Informatics Coordinator. The Specialist will work with an interdisciplinary team that strives to identify creative, technology-driven solutions to new and existing workflows. Responsibilities will include Epic Beacon Treatment plan and Therapy Plan specification development and validation for research and standard of care regimens (adult and pediatric), supporting maintenance and operational needs for oncology in Epic Beacon and Willow, troubleshooting oncology informatics issues and providing support to front-line oncology pharmacists.
The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist will also have practice time and provide education to students, residents, pharmacists, and other health care practitioners. They will also serve as a preceptor for pharmacy students and pharmacy residents of ASHP-accredited PGY-1 pharmacy practice and PGY-2 specialty practice programs, including the PGY1&2 Pharmacy Informatics residency.
Preferred qualifications for this position include the completion of a PharmD degree, PGY1 residency, and either PGY2 specialty residency in oncology or equivalent experience in oncology pharmacy practice.
