Location: 4940 Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21224
Shift:
Full Time (40 hours)
Day Shift, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
Exempt; Pay Grade: 40
Position Summary:
Assures the most efficient and cost-effective office management and provision of clerical/support services for the Burn, PM&R, Wound Center, and Infectious Disease clinics. Coordinates workflow and supervises all clerical staff within the department. Manages the personnel record keeping and payroll of employees. Assists the Clinical Manager & Ambulatory leadership in all phases of clinic operations and program development.
Work requires the analytical skills necessary to resolve day-to-day problems related to the supervision of employees and resolve technical or administrative problems.
Work requires the skills to communicate effectively both orally and in writing including preparing and presenting detailed reports and proposals for management as well as assigning and distributing work, conducting performance reviews, enforcing policies and counseling employees with performance and/or disciplinary problems.
Education/Work Experience:
Work requires the level of knowledge typically acquired through completion of an Associate's degree and two years of previous lead or supervisory experience. Equivalent work experience may substitute degree requirement.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Work requires the analytical skills necessary to resolve problems requiring a professional level of knowledge in a specific discipline/field and/or improve enhance or upgrade complex clinical, financial, data processing, marketing or human resources systems and programs.
- Work requires the communication skills necessary to effectively manage the employees within assigned department and to persuade and negotiate with peer-level managers on issues and programs that impact the department. Work requires effectively dealing with conflicting views or issues and mediating fair and workable solutions.
- Must complete the Training Checklist for Managers and Supervisors (described in the Training Catalog under Management Development Curriculum) within twelve months of employment/promotion date.
