Full Time (40 hours)
Day Shift; 5:30 am - 9:00 pm
Weekend work required
Works under general supervision and prepares, seasons, and cooks food for Hospital patients, employees, and visitors. Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipes, using a variety of manual and/or electric kitchen utensils and equipment, such as mixers, slicers, blenders, choppers, scales and measures.
In accordance with DOL NRS implantation guidelines, work requires a high intermediate basic education at a level of math and reading as normally acquired through the completion of a sixth grade education.
Required Licensure, Certification, Etc:
Serve safe sanitation certification is required.
Requires a minimum of one year of prior cooking experience in a food service operation.
- Work requires knowledge of basic cooking techniques and the ability to operate kitchen equipment and machinery.
- Work requires the ability to read and follow instructions. Requires the ability to operate standard kitchen machinery, read menus, work schedules and prices. Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with hospital patients, visitors and staff and to provide courteous services.
