Reports to Site Manager/Immediate Supervisor. Performs Diagnostic CT imaging of organs, organ systems and blood flow studies. Provides radiologists with images necessary to obtain diagnostic results so that a comprehensive diagnostic report is available to referring physician. Orients physicians, residents, staff and student techno¬logist in objectives and applications of magnetic resonance imaging and safety. Assists nursing staff in area e.g. witnesses nursing staff in wasting medication and documents in Pyxis.
Casual (less than 20) Must be available to cover shifts on day and weekend shifts
Home base is Columbia, but must be available to travel to Bethesda site as well
Work requires completion of an AMA approved program for Radiologic Technology or equivalent which is required in a two year college or technical school program.
Three to six months work experience in CT Imaging..
ARRT certified with current registration required. Radiography license by the Maryland Board of Physicians required. CPR certification required with three months of employment. Preferred post-primary ARRT Computed Tomography CT certification.
Possible exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials with little likelihood of harm if established health precautions are followed
