Full Time (40 hours)

Day Shift, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Exempt; Pay Grade: MG

Position Summary:

Reports to the Center for Transgender Health (CTH) Chief Administrative Officer and is responsible for management of an operational program to ensure the delivery of services to meet the organization's needs. Responsible for the day to day direction of the CTH central team. Responsible for maintaining adequate staffing, and ensures processes are followed according to JHHS policy and procedures. The Program Manager will have the responsibility to work with leadership and affiliate teams to assess, design, develop, implement and evaluate programs and processes throughout JHM. This position will help to identify areas of opportunity for performance improvement, create internal controls to mitigate risks, and pursue best practices in the assigned field.

The Program Manager will serve as the liaison with the JHM affiliates as assigned, provides guidance and direction to JHM staff and will manage short- and long-term projects to create a comprehensive and robust program as determined by leadership.


Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Administration or other relevant field required. Master's degree in Nursing or related health care field preferred.


Current registered licensure in the state of Maryland preferred.

Work Experience:

Minimum 7 years' experience in business or healthcare, including relevant work experience in program management. Minimum 3 years of prior management experience preferred.


  • Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge and practice of organizational behavior and change management.
  • Knowledge of finance, operations, logistics, administrative theory, process improvement and program management.
  • The ability to facilitate and promote the program to the Johns Hopkins community
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills with all levels of staff and outside associates.
  • Possess a high level of interpersonal skills and attitude to effectuate change throughout JHM with all levels of staff and external business-related associates.
  • The ability to work independently, to assess situations and respond appropriately, and to initiate and implement policy and procedures across JHM.
  • Possess effective organizational and time management skills necessary to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Ability to research and analyze various types of data and compile high quality reports, proposals, presentations, and other documents for senior management and customers is required.
  • Experience in performing analyses of flow, staffing, scheduling, and resource utilization to develop and recommend courses of action.
  • Ability to guide support staff in achieving program goals.
