Reports to a Materials Management Shift Supervisor and/or Materials Management Manager. Ensures customer satisfaction by providing timely and accurate information when responding to a customer inquiries. Must provide thorough and timely follow up via phone calls, documentation, ensuring paperwork, or computer data entry. Performs a valued customer service by expediting delivery, responding to requests for supplies, equipment, delivery issues for customers. Process supply requisitions using software. Identify and research inquiries, complaints and questions relative to the delivery of materials from Central Stores or Central Receiving. Channels customer complaints and irregularities to supervisors and managers as appropriate.
Requires knowledge of requisitioning and distribution functions (internal and external), personnel, documentation, and computer systems. Basic understanding of inventory management systems.
A High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associate degree preferred
A minimum of one year customer service experience. Materials management experience and/or receiving experience preferred. Prior healthcare inventory systems experienced preferred.

Must possess strong verbal and written communications skills and the ability to interface with customers in a stressful environment without compromising the tenets of good customer relations practices. Ability to resolve issues with tact and diplomacy. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office; UPS Trackpad; other handheld devices. Able to communicate via verbal and written (email) methods. Approximately 80%-100% of the day is spent on the telephone and on the computer.
Required Licensure, Certification:
HR/OE Customer Service Basics.
Work is performed in a normal office environment with some exposure to the noise in the call
