Inspects, and decontaminates surgical instrument and equipment used in the Operating Room and through out the hospital for patient care. Operates cleaning equipment used to clean instrumentation.
Minimum requirement: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
Ability to complete basic computer skills.
Minimum one year working in a hospital environment.
Machines, Tools, Equipment:
Required to operate Washer/Decontaminators, Cart Washers, Sonic Cleaners, Computer Systems, and electric tug
Evening Shift, 40 hours
3:00 pm – 11:30 pm
Non – Exemp, Pay Grade: UD
Works in a fast paced environment with some variation in temperature.
Work includes processing bio-hazardous products and equipment that requires strict adherence to safe work practices.
Safe handling of biologically contaminated medical devices in non-clinical and clinical settings.
Work requires attention to detail and requires mental/visual acuity.
Requires lifting of up to 50 lbs.
