The Diagnostic Imaging Technician's responsibility is to provide a variety of support functions to facilitate delivery of services to the patients in Diagnostic Imaging. Responsible for assisting the technologists within the department to provide safe, efficient and effective placement of patients off and on the exam tables. This position has latitude for independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in performing duties. Timeliness, communication, and accuracy of work impact patient care by enabling others to provide direct patient care.
Internal contacts outside the work group may be required to resolve problems and to collaborate on work procedures. Continuous contacts with external sources and responsibility exists to ensure that patient safety and satisfaction is maintained. Requires courtesy and tact in dealing

Work location: Columbia, MD
High school diploma or GED is required. Previous experience in a health care environment is preferred.
