The Dietetic Technician is an integral part of the nutrition care team. Works under the guidance of the RD and the LD dietitian and has responsibilities in the following assigned areas: interviewing patients, performing anthropometric measurements, calculating nutrient intakes, educating patients and families on specific diets, monitoring food quality and meal acceptance, and preparing formula and breast milk fortification along with other duties as assigned. Documents patient care notes in electronic medical record (POE).
Full Time (40 hours) Rotating Shift
7:00 AM to 8:30 PM
Work Location: Bloomberg 8399
Education: Associate's degree or successful completion of a Dietetic Technician Program approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) is required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience: Recent exposure to clinical food service management and nutritional care. 6 months to one year experience.
Certification: ServSafe certification preferred
Working Condition: Works in patient care areas where there are no physical discomforts due to dust, dirt, temperature and the like
