Position Summary

Directs and manages the overall public safety/security training division serving The Johns Hopkins Hospital, The Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center as well as the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing and other Johns Hopkins enterprise affiliates.

Education:

This level of experience is normally acquired in a work-related setting through completion of a

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or related field.

Required Licensure, of Certification:

Professional certification through, IAHSS or ASIS preferred. Ability to obtain and retain a State Maryland Special Police Commission.

Work Experience:

Work requires the ability to lead and direct multiple projects and functions. Requires a minimum

of five years progressively responsible, full-time managerial and administrative experience in law enforcement or healthcare security, or any combination of education and experience.

Knowledge/Skills:

Thorough knowledge of security operations, applicable laws and JCAHO regulatory requirements.

Strong interpersonal and public relations skills necessary to establish and maintain effective rapport with medical and security staffs, and the public
