Position Summary:

Investigates building systems and documents operational data. Prepares recommendations for system improvements, maintenance programs and evaluations. This work is performed under the general supervision of the Engineering Project Manager and under the technical oversight of engineers

Location: 600 N. Wolfe Street, Baltimore, MD 21287

Shift:

Full Time (40 hours)

Day Shift, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

On-call / Weekend work required

Non-Exempt; Pay Grade: NK

$28.00-$39.50 hourly, based on experience

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. An AA degree is preferred.

Work Experience:

5 years related work experience.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Develops extensive knowledge of two or more specialties: Fire Detection/Protection, Emergency Power Distribution, Air/Water Balancing, Generators, Digital Controls and Monitoring, Instrumentation/Metering, Chilled/Heating Water Systems, Medical Gas, Refrigeration, High Voltage, Steam Distribution, Pluming, or PLC Programming.
  • Functional knowledge of computer applications (PC- and network-based), including Windows, departmental e-mail, word processing, database, spreadsheet; basic knowledge of project management, presentation, maintenance/work order processing and design/drawing.
  • Basic knowledge of commissioning.
  • Proficient written and verbal English communication skills, on a college level.
  • Applies and integrates knowledge indicated herein.
  • High level of ability to solve problems and manage information indicated herein.
  • Ability to use equipment indicated herein.
  • Ability to plan, research, analyze, coordinate, implement and present program requirements.
  • Interacts professionally with JHM/departmental staff as well as contractors, manufacturers, vendors and consultants.
