Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Perform HVAC System programming on Apogee or Desigo Siemens Building Automation Systems (BAS). Troubleshoots HVAC mechanical issues and advises technicians how to correct the problems in the field. Recommends improvements and corrections to control sequences to best suit the needs of the occupants. Reviews BAS designs for renovations and new construction to ensure project implementation matches Hospital specifications.
Investigates building systems and documents operational data. Prepares recommendations for system improvements, maintenance programs and evaluations. Aids the onsite building operations team in the daily trouble-shooting and repairs of mechanical systems, especially the Building Automation System (BAS). This work is performed under the general supervision of the Director of Engineering Operations, under the technical oversight of the Senior Engineering Project manager, and the daily oversight of the hospital Maintenance Manager.
The candidate for this position must have 15 years of experience in the Building Automation Trade. Completion of a trade apprenticeship program is preferred. The position requires some occasional off-shift work to meet the hospital needs. Knowledge of DDC systems is required.
