Location: Mt Washington, 5801 Smith Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21209

Position is remote, with occasional travel to Baltimore (approximatley 2-4 times per year)

Position Summary

The ERP Manager will act as the product owner for human capital management related functions supported by the SAP system, SuccessFactors and other ancillary systems/products/functions related to the SAP/Human Capital Management landscape for the Johns Hopkins enterprise. This position will interact with key leadership and user cohorts within the organization, EBS leadership, peer managers, vendors, and consultants to create a prioritized plan of work, both of a support and innovation nature, and communicate the requirements and/or necessary path to the solution to the overall EBS team. This position will require research and knowledge gathering for new trends in business technologies. This position will be interacting with various groups of people (internal and external), so their ability to communicate effectively is paramount. Position is very independent, requiring infrequent direction. Direction will be provided by the Deputy CIO and EBS Directors; frequency determined by director and priorities.

In addition to supporting the business in achieving enhancements and exploration of new technologies, this position will also function as a practice manager for one or more specific group of experts. In this capacity, this position will provide subject matter expertise and guidance as well as have administrative responsibilities for the assigned group(s) or practice(s).


Bachelor’s degree. Additional experience may be substituted for education.

Required Work Experience:

10+ years broad experience in a senior level position with a combination in information technology and business best practices with a focus on human capital management. Implementation and support experience with SAP Payroll and SAP SuccessFactors is required. Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Applicants must possess proven written, verbal and interpersonal skills and must be able to exercise judgment with minimal supervision. They must have advanced experience with the range of supported technologies. Project management experience is desirable.
