Position Summary: The Facilities Operations Specialist will assist the Facility Manager and Director of Development and Planning as assigned. These duties will include oversight of maintenance projects, regulatory inspections, regulatory compliance, renovations and other assigned projects. The position will be required to meet with vendors and contractors in order to request and review proposals for projects and budgetary preparations. The position may be assigned full responsibility for development, implementation, monitoring and/or quality assurance of select facilities projects and facility renovations. The position may be required to assist will life safety inspections, emergency planning, serve on the Incident Command Team and other related facility surveys.


  1. Education: High School diploma or GED or vocational training; Continuing education is helpful.

B. Kno B Knowledge: Advanced and diversified knowledge of all building and construction trades and practices to include: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, controls, carpentry, security and more. Basic understanding and/or knowledge of codes, regulations and general practices are helpful. Knowledge of Life Safety codes would be beneficial.

C. Skills: C. Skills: Good verbal, written and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to follow written and verbal direction. Strong organizational skills and customer service focus is essential. The ability to work independent and schedule time wisely is required. Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are required. Prior experiences with Tridium, C-Cure and Corrigo are a plus. Person should be able to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
