This third and weekend position is responsible for triaging/escalation service requests; maintaining established equipment par levels in areas throughout the Hospital for multiple equipment fleets and furniture; cleaning of said equipment, picking up and delivering curtain panels; filling and maintaining chemical dispensers in EVC closets throughout the instituition; responding to just in time sharps box requests, documenting and escalating issues such as insufficient inventory or par levles not met by 6:00am. Will use hospital real-time locating system (RTLS) to identify inventories that fall above/below par level in order to ensure Nursing Units and procedure areas have the appropriate par level for applicable equipment fleets.

According to established procedures and general directions, traiges incoming phone calls, electronic service and email requests for Facilities Mnagement customers concerning routine and emergency issues. Processes requests and calls to the main phone number for JHHS Facilities Management (1,300 + employees). The Department provides Environmental Care, Clinical Engineering and Engineering Operations services to the Johns Hopkins Hospial (6 million sq feet); The Bayview Medical Center (1.5 million square feet) and Howard County General Hospital (500,00 square feet). Triage calls via multiple medical devices (radio, pager, creation of work order, phone, etc.). Determines priority to ensure timely response to emergency and urgent calls while minimizing disruption and overtime. Escalates to department leadership emergencies, utility outages and any other issue which poses risk to patient, life support, or utililities that are critical to patient safety and safe procedures. Understand and identify critical utilities and operations that are critical to patient care.
