Position Summary:
The Financial Project Manager position within IT@JH (Central IT), supports IT with budget development, financial monitoring, business planning, cost metrics, and analysis to drive business decisions and measurements related to Johns Hopkins Health System and Allocation Based services. Will lead projects and programs collaborating with leadership across all of Johns Hopkins. Through the use of analytical, financial and database tools and information, this position will develop processes supporting business planning and strategy, analysis of business viability, and pricing of delivered services. This position will develop business and financial plans, make recommendations to leadership on investment strategies for new services and solutions to develop reporting measurements and methodologies for key stakeholders.

Education:
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field. Master’s or other advanced degree preferred.

Licensure/Certification:
CPA is preferred but not required (inactive status is okay)

Required Work Experience:

At Least Five years of experience with business plan development, complex computer and financial systems and applications (preferably in an HR, IT, and/or health care financial environment) as well as leading projects.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Specialized knowledge of and expertise in relevant source systems, applications, interfaces and operations/functional areas. Ability to analyze complex requirements, business processes and data models.

Advanced proficiency in database applications, financial and statistical reporting packages, developing dashboards, Sharepoint, and other data and financial tools.

Understanding business management in a complex environment.

Understanding of financial and business processes in health systems environment.

Ability to establish and meet work schedules within limited time frames and under tight deadlines. Able to coordinate the work of a diversified staff in various environments.

SAP experience preferred.

High degree of proficiency in MS-Office.

Demonstrates advanced communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with management across the Health System.

High level of analytic ability necessary to analyze accounting data, classify and compile data and prepare complex accounting reports. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be customer service oriented with a positive attitude. Significant background and experience with PC’s and software packages, including SAP, Excel, and Access. SQL and VBS/VBA is preferred.
