Under minimum supervision, performs a wide range of food service duties. Maintains work area in clean and orderly condition by performing such duties as cleaning tables, sweeping and/or mopping floors; cleaning refrigerators, walls and other equipment, appliances, dishes, steam tables, carts, pots, pans, and dish machines. Is expected to solve problems without the need for direct supervision to assure quality service standards

Available work shifts: Day shift: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
8:00 am - 4:00 pm
9:00 am - 5:00pm
***Must be able to work some weekends***
- Requires one to three months on-the-job orientation to acquire necessary familiarity with department policies and procedures, work routines, and to learn to operate area-specific equipment.
- Previous work experience in food service is preferred. Requires the ability to operate standard kitchen machinery and read menus, work schedules and prices.
- Requires ability to interact effectively with hospital patients, visitors, and staff and to provide courteous service.
- Requires flexibility to cross-train in various positions.
