Surgical Technician

Location: Lutherville, MD

Shift: Monday- Friday 40/Hrs a week

7 am - 3:30 PM

Job Description:

The Surgical Technologist possesses knowledge of aseptic/surgical techniques and can provide surgical technical skills for patients undergoing a wide variety of operative procedures. The Surgical Technologist selects, plans, organizes and effectively utilizes required instrumentation when assisting in the scrub role. The Surgical Technologist I work as a member of the surgical team and will be responsible to assist the surgeon and circulating nurse with assigned duties. The JHSCS Surgical Technician will flex to the Central Sterile Processing Unit and other areas of the JHSCS when needed to support the daily operations of the JHSCS. High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of a Surgical Technician program or successfully completed an Accelerated Alternative Delivery Surgical Technology (AAD-ST) certificate program

Requirements:

A minimum of Two years prior experience as a Surgical Technician is preferred.

Surgical Technician certification preferred.
