ULTRASOUND
GENERAL SUMMARY: The diagnostic Sonographer is responsible for producing diagnostic information using the sonography equipment and related diagnostic techniques. The Sonographer acquires and evaluates data, while exercising discretion and judgment in performance of the clinical examination.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must have attended an approved school for Diagnostic Sonography or have equivalent experience which is accepted for registration with the R.D.M.S. Must be registry eligible and pass boards within one year of employment.
- Current CPR certification required.
VASCULAR
GENERAL SUMMARY: Initiates and performs routine and complex vascular tests and measurements by use and expertise of ultrasound and Doppler equipment. Acquires and evaluates data, while exercising discretion and judgment in performance of the clinical examination.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must have attended an approved school for vascular zoography or have equivalent experience, which is accepted for registration with ARDMS. Must be registered or registry eligible and pass boards within one year of employment.
