Accurately performs routine and special laboratory procedures involving body tissues and/or cellular material, utilizing embedding, microtomy, staining, and immunologic techniques.
Shift: Day Shift 4:30a-1p
Bachelor’s of Science degree and Histotechnologist certification, HTL (ASCP); or Bachelor’s of Science degree and Histotechnician certification, HT(ASCP); or
Associates degree in Histotechnology (general science or allied health) with one year experience (clinical internship counts as one year of clinical experience) and HT(ASCP); or
College coursework with at least 60 semester hours of academic credit from a an accredited college /university, with a combination of 12 semester hours of biology and chemistry (must include credit hours in both), and successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Histotechnician program with one year of clinical histology work experience, eligibility for HT (ASCP); or
High school diploma with successful completion of a NAACLS accredited histotechnician program with 2 years of clinical histology work experience. Successful completion of HT(ASCP) registry exam within one year of employment at this level.
- Preferably three (3) years full time experience in the discipline, however recent graduation with one year experience is acceptable.
