The environmental services team leader provides support to the managers and acts as department contact person in their absence. Effectively communicates operation issues to the Operations Managers and Director upon their return or as necessary to ensure effective departmental operations. Trains new hires as well as current employees. The Team Leader is responsible for the cleanliness of assigned areas and may perform routine repetitive tasks on a continuous basis, despite frequent interruptions. May spend considerable time outdoors transporting debris to compactors, picking up debris, and sweeping. Operates floor care equipment as assigned. Is responsible for delivering linen and entering data into our linen tracking data base.

Day to day overseeing of cleaning and linen functions. Completion of inspections. Operation of UV machine. Support for EPIC to insure timely completion of discharges to insure flow of patients from ED, PACU, and transfers.

Work Location: Washington D.C.

Full time - Evening shift

Minimum requirements:

1.Good oral communications skills
2.Capable of following both written and verbal instruction.
3.Able to prioritize customer needs, based on hospital census, staff situation, and quality assurance, to do what is necessary.
4.Capable of completing basic departmental task, both electronically and when required physical paper, such as sign-in sheets, project sheets, duty assignments shift log, and absence sheets.
5.Capable of using basic computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook, SAP, work order requests, and Epic.
6.Able to participate/ or lead Design thinking, LEAN, and CUSP.
7. Demonstrate strong skills in employee engagement and team building.
