Essential Job Functions: Mentor(s) will assist with tasks related to the program, including but not limited to: • Serves as Mentor to a select group (approx. 20-25) student interns in collaboration with Department placements. • Serves as liaison to departments and student interns for basic disciplinary issues (additional resources available). • Assists with payroll and timesheet tracking. • Assists in Educational Friday Session planning and serves as facilitator/monitor during Friday Sessions (attendance taking, overall supervision, and facilitation of the small group projects). • Visits students interns' worksites within Baltimore City and other Johns Hopkins entities in surrounding counties, collects information and photographs student intern. • Inputs data and creates reports using MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint; handles and maintains confidential information. • Learns and provides accurate program information to departments, Baltimore City parents and students (SJP customers). • Responds to email (MS Outlook) inquiries from SJP customers. • Answers phone calls from JHSJP customers and returns calls promptly upon obtaining information from Committee members. • Delivers materials as needed to help the program run smoothly. • Greets student intern and department mentors at program events; provides direction when required. • Shares relevant information and updates, and actively participates with Committee at regular Friday meetings and during the week. • Reinforces the spirit and mission of the program to departments within JH. • Must complete mentor training session coordinated by JHSJP • Must be available to work the full 8 week summer schedule

• Education: Enrollment or completion in graduate or undergraduate program at accredited post-secondary institution. Coursework and/or experience in adolescent counseling, advising, psychology, or coaching preferred.
